On First Graduation Day
Thangapazham Agricultural College, Vasudevanallur, successfully organized its First Graduation Day (Convocation) with great dignity and pride. The event marked a historic milestone in the institution’s journey of academic excellence and commitment to agricultural education.
The First Graduation Day was held on Sunday, 10th August 2025 at 10.00 AM in the College Auditorium, S. Thangapazham Agricultural College, Vasudevanallur, Tenkasi District, Tamil Nadu.
The Management, Principal, faculty members, graduating students, parents, and distinguished guests graced the occasion. The programme commenced with TamizhthaaiVazhththu, followed by the formal academic procession. Graduates and guests strictly adhered to the convocation guidelines, maintaining decorum throughout the ceremony.
The Graduation Day was formally declared open by Thiru. S. Thangapazham, Trustee, S.T. Group of Institutions, Vasudevanallur. The Graduation Day Address was delivered by the Chief Guest, Dr. T. Arumugam, M.Sc. (Hort.), Ph.D., Vice-Chancellor, Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, who inspired the graduates to uphold professional ethics and contribute meaningfully to society and the agricultural sector.
Dr. P. Vivekanandan, Ph.D., Former Dean, AC & RI, Killikulam, graced the function as the Guest of Honour and delivered a special address highlighting the importance of academic integrity, innovation, and lifelong learning.
The ceremony included the presentation of degrees and awards, followed by the pledge administered to the graduates symbolizing their transition from academic life to professional responsibility. A total of 405 graduates from 2015 batch to 2020 Batch received their certificates from the honourable chief guest. Fourteen students were awarded top three OGPA candidates in the 2015 – 2020 batches.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. A. Ramalingam, Advisor, S. Thangapazham Agricultural College, Vasudevanallur. The First Graduation Day concluded with the National Anthem, leaving cherished memories among all participants.
