Dr. C. Vanniarajan is a distinguished academician and researcher in Plant Breeding and Genetics with over three decades of service in agricultural education, research, and innovation. An alumnus of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, he earned his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. with distinction, receiving honors such as the Dr. M.S. Swaminathan Medal and Dr. K. Ramiah Medal.

With 30 years of research and 27 years of teaching, he has mentored numerous scholars and contributed to crop improvement, mutation breeding, millet research, and sustainable agriculture. He played a key role in releasing improved varieties of cotton, blackgram, barnyard millet, cluster bean, and green manure crops, enhancing farmer productivity.

As Director of the Trichy Agri Business Incubation Forum, he promoted innovation, startups, and agribusiness incubation. His academic output includes over 220 publications and international collaborations across the USA, Japan, Netherlands, Austria, and Dubai. His leadership continues to inspire students, researchers, and farmers.
