STAC NSS Camp “Not Me But You” Empowers Rayagiri Village, Tenkasi District
From July 21-26, 2025, 109 dedicated NSS volunteers of 2023 batch II B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture students from STAC conducted a transformative service camp in Rayagiri Village under the theme “Not Me But You.” The week-long initiative launched with an inauguration by Principal Dr. S. Jeyarajan Nelson and NSS Coordinator Dr. A. Aravinth, featuring a impactful Road Safety Awareness Rally. Subsequent days brought vital services to the community, including a General Medical Camp offering free health checkups, a Veterinary Camp for livestock care, and a Legal Counseling Camp to educate villagers about their rights. The program also emphasized environmental stewardship through tree planting, a comprehensive village cleaning drive, and awareness rallies addressing dengue, malaria, and swine flu prevention. The camp concluded with a closing ceremony and plastic awareness rally, leaving a lasting impact through the collaborative efforts of students, faculty, and Rayagiri Panchayat President Mrs. P. Indra. This immersive experience not only served the village but also instilled the values of social responsibility in participants, truly embodying the spirit of community service.
