S. Thangapazham Agricultural College (STAC), Vasudevanallur was started in the academic year 2015-16 and is functioning from 07.10.2015 with the sanctioned strength of 60 students to offer B.Sc. (Ag.) degree courses. The College was started in accordance with the G.O. (MS) No.199/2015, dt: 28.09.2015 of the Government of Tamil Nadu (Annexure 1) and was granted affiliation by the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore vide TNAU Registrar’s Order No. E1 / Th.K.S.N / 21201 / 2015 dt. 29.09.2015 (Annexture 1). The College is run by the Thiru. K. Subramania Nadar – Vadivoo Ammal Educational Trust, Vasudevanallur.
The location of the College is at Chinthamaniperipudur, Authuvazhi (Post), Vasudevanallur, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District. The College lies between 9°14’22 North latitude and 77°24’40 East longitude with an altitude of 183 m in Southern Agro Climatic zone of Tamil Nadu. The College is situated on the Madurai – Kollam National Highway (NH 744) and is 1.5km away from Vasudevanallur Bus Stop.
